We collect recent back issues of the prestigious National Geographic
Magazine from generous donors in the Silicon Valley area.  We mail
them in Geopacks of a dozen issues to interested, deserving teachers
in rural areas in developing countries who in turn teach many girls in
ways they feel appropriate.
What we do
How we work
Geoseed Project
Our mission is to stimulate the thirst for knowledge in children.  Luckily
for us, children are naturally curious.  So, our job becomes to expose
them to a variety of information so they may come across their interest.

We chose the National Geographic Magazine due to the educational
mission, wide ranging subjects, international readership,
non-perishable articles and visual appeal.  The back issues of the
magazine are prized by subscribers and constitute excellent material
to provide to children.

The magazines are much like product samples; we tempt children to
go for more!
Why we chose the National Geographic Magazine
We choose teachers who can reach many needy children.   We target
teachers primarily in girls' schools in rural areas in developing
countries who cannot afford a subscription to the magazine.

We start with one Geopack per school and widen our efforts by word of
mouth upon positive
feedback.
